Jonathan Chiang :
Mr. Chiang currently serves as a Managing Director of Paradigm Venture Partners where he is responsible for deal sourcing, investment review, and post-investment management of portfolio companies. Mr. Chiang is also the Chairman and CEO of Sino Paradigm Investment Development (“Sino Paradigm”), the business development arm of Paradigm Venture Partners which focuses on assisting portfolio companies with financing, strategy development, customer relationships and government channels in China. The primary objective of Sino Paradigm is to actively contribute to the value creation process of portfolio companies in order to accelerate their growth and maximize investment returns.
Prior to joining Paradigm Venture Partners Mr. Chiang was an Associate and subsequently General Partner at Maton Venture, a venture capital firm based in Silicon Valley, California, focusing on early-stage deals. Areas of investment include semiconductor, telecom, software, bio-tech and healthcare. Mr. Chiang was responsible for coordinating and executing the due-diligence process for all investment deals as well as reporting for the investment review committee and investor relations. During his tenure with Maton Venture Mr. Chiang was involved with more than 40 vested deals and has extensive experience in their exits through public listing in US and Asian markets as well as merger and acquisitions.
Mr. Chiang also serves as the Chief Consultant of China for China Development Financial Holdings, one of the largest and most historic financial holding companies in Taiwan with 20 billion US dollars in assets. The company played a major role in the economic development of the country by financing key industries such as semiconductor and information technology through China Development Industrial Bank, their industrial banking arm. Mr. Chiang’s role includes strategic and government policy advisory, SOE collaboration as well as central government relations.
Mr. Chiang is a Director of The Chungcheng Cultural and Educational Foundation, a non-profit organization established in memory of the late President Chiang Kai Shek that seeks to promote traditional Chinese culture and values through media, education and awareness events.
Mr. Chiang received his B.A. in Finance and Economics from Santa Clara University in California.
